IT CAME OFF WHEN PUTTING IN STORAGE, THE METAL HANDLE IS STILL AS SHOWN... IT HAS AGED NICELY OVER THE MANY YEARS AND CAN STILL BE USED AS A COOKING CAULDRON!!

IT HAS NOT BEEN WASHED, CLEANED, OR OILED WHICH WILL BRING BACK ITS NATURAL BEAUTY AND LUSTER!! IT HAS NO BREAKS OR STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE CAST IRON CAULDRON - KETTLE!! THE WIRE HANDLE IS QUITE SOLID AND STRONG. THE HARDWOOD BAIL HAS COME OFF , BUT CAN BE REPLACED IF YOU WISH.
