This is not a modern reproduction. I have collected antiques for over 50 years and know the difference.
There are three recessed screw holes from mounting it on a wall or building. I believe this piece was probably mounted above the front door entrance of a cigar or tobacco shop. The front has no cracks or major damage. Just wear and pitting from being outside for many years or decades.
Inside has an old coat of white paint and some rust on surface a bottom. I do not see a manufacture's name only some very faint hard to read letters and numbers. It looks like NC3 19 19.
The two 19's are separated so not certain that is a year or just manufacturing or model numbers. This is a very rare and original piece I would estimate from the late 1800's to early 1900's.I do not think that you will ever find another. Super Rare Rare Rare historical sign for the native American Indian or tobacco cigar shop collector.
