Century English Cast Iron Butchers Trade Sign. A wonderful object, and rare at that. Dated to the first quarter of the 20.
Century this English butchers trade sign in the form of a cast iron rams head, would have hung proud outside a butchers shop for many years. Covered with layers of aged, flaked paint, with aged repairs, a wonderful, crackled surface would make an amazing display object hung from a wall. This example weights close to 30KG but still has its original hanging hole in place. Size in inches: H 15 x W 18 x D 8. Completely solid in structure and form, aged repairs across one inside horn section, rusted surface and loss of paint are present across this object due to being outside all its life. Its exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas in this piece, therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment.
